Eberechi Eze Out of England Friendlies Due to Injury

Eberechi Eze, a player for Arsenal, will be unable to participate in England's upcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Japan due to a calf injury. Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, announced this on Sunday, indicating that Eze sustained the injury during the League Cup final.

Eze was included in Thomas Tuchel's 35-man squad for the match against Uruguay, scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on March 27, with the match against Japan occurring four days later as part of England's preparations for the World Cup. Arteta stated that Eze would undergo a scan to assess the injury, with a wait of six to seven days expected for the results.

In light of Eze's absence, Harvey Barnes, a winger from Newcastle United, has been called up to replace him in the England squad.
