Arteta Confident Arsenal Can Surpass Last Season's Success
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated that his team is capable of performing at a higher level than last season following a 2-1 comeback win over Chelsea on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal initially fell behind due to Morgan Rogers’ early goal but equalized through Kai Havertz and secured the win with a goal from Martin Odegaard.
Arteta described the performance as “exceptional” and emphasized the importance of maintaining desire and humility to achieve greater success. He noted that Martin Odegaard's improved form is linked to his fitness and confidence, while also highlighting the positive contributions of Kai Havertz, who appears happier and more settled.
Arteta believes the squad has the quality to improve further and aims for both the team and individual players to reach their full potential.
