APC Makes Adjustments for 2026 National Convention, Excludes States from Congresses

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is preparing for its March 2026 National Convention, with adjustments made to the congress schedule. The Progress Governor Forum (PGF) reviewed and endorsed proposals for the congress framework.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) approved the schedule, with ward congresses set for February 18, 2026, and the national convention on March 27-28, 2026. Notably, Osun, Ekiti, Rivers, and the FCT were excluded from the upcoming congresses.

Felix Morka, the APC's Public Secretary, provided explanations for their exemption due to upcoming elections. The APC aims to ensure unity and justice within the party, with figures like Bola Tinubu and Hope Uzodinma emphasizing the importance of existing zone arrangements.

The party is focused on maintaining stability, inclusivity, and fairness to strengthen its position ahead of the 2027 general elections.
