Asake Named Most-Streamed Artist on Spotify Nigeria

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has emerged as the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify Nigeria. This recognition coincides with Spotify's fifth anniversary of operations in Nigeria, highlighting artists and songs with the highest streams since the platform's launch in the country.

Asake occupies the number one position, followed by Afrobeat star Wizkid in second place and street pop sensation Seyi Vibez in third. Grammy Award winner Burna Boy ranks fourth, while hitmaker Davido completes the top five.

Asake's song "Sungba" also leads the chart for the highest-streamed track, with "Bandana" by Fireboy DML featuring Ayo Maff in second place and "Awolowo" by Fido in third. In addition, Asake's influence extends beyond Nigeria, as he also ranks on Spotify's charts in Kenya and Ghana, underscoring the global rise of Nigerian music and the strong influence of Afrobeat across the African streaming market.
