Nigerian Singer Asake Breaks Records on Billboard Afrobeats Chart, Burna Boy Earns First Top 20 Hit

Nigerian singer Asake has set a new record for the most entries by an artist on the Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart with 60 entries. His collaboration with Wizkid on the hit song "Jogodo" peaked at number 4.

Meanwhile, South African singer Tyla continues to dominate the chart with her song "Channel" holding the number 1 position. In other news, new Nigerian sensation Burna Boy achieved his first top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with his track "WGFT" featuring Gunna, reaching a new peak at number 16.

The remix version of the song with Chris Brown has also been well-received. Burna Boy has become the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years from 2021 to 2025.
