Asake's Concert Film Becomes Spotify's First Release

On June 21, 2x GRAMMY-nominated Afrobeats artist Asake performed a special one-night-only concert at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane, marking his first live performance since the release of his album in May. The event was attended by close to 2,000 fans, including many of his top Spotify listeners, and featured a black-tie dress code.

Asake was accompanied by a live orchestra, a 40-person choir, and a renowned live band, performing hits from his album alongside four unreleased tracks. This concert has been transformed into a concert film, which is now exclusively available on Spotify, making it the first full-length live album performance film the platform has ever released.

In celebration of this release, Spotify hosted an exclusive premiere screening event at its Listening Lounge in central London. The film captures Asake's unique blend of melodic innovation and Afrobeats rhythms, emphasizing themes of gratitude, prosperity, spirituality, and ambition.
