NLC Threatens Nationwide Action Over ASUU Strike Ultimatum

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has given the Federal Government a four-week ultimatum to resolve the ASUU strike, threatening a nationwide industrial action. NLC President Joe Ajaero issued the ultimatum after a meeting with representatives from ASUU and other education sector unions in Abuja.

The ultimatum follows ASUU's declaration of a two-week warning strike due to the government's failure to implement agreements, including salary payments and university funding. Ajaero criticized the "no work, no pay" policy and emphasized the need to protect workers' interests and restore stability in public universities.
