Atiku, Barau Urge Unity and Peace This Easter

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin issued a statement on Sunday via X media, extending warm Easter greetings to Nigerian Christians. Atiku described the Easter season as a time for reflection, sacrifice, and divine love, urging Christians to introspect, repent, and renew hope.

He encouraged them to emulate the selfless love and forgiveness exemplified by Jesus Christ in their daily lives. Atiku, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, reminded the government of its constitutional duty to protect lives and property and to provide an enabling environment for all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or religion.

Senator Barau emphasized the importance of love and tolerance for national unity, urging citizens to let these values prevail over violence and divisive tendencies. Both leaders called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu's leadership and to contribute to the country's progress through faith and peace.
