Atiku Declares 2027 Presidential Ambition, Says Nigeria Must Be Rescued From Intensive Care Unit

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election in Nigeria, aiming to rescue the country from what he described as an "intensive care unit" state. Atiku emphasized the urgent need for intervention to address the unbearable levels of poverty, pain, and anguish in the nation.

He expressed concern over deceit, loss of value, and lack of accountability, stating that every patriot should be worried about the current situation. Atiku, a key promoter of the opposition coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC), is expected to face stiff competition within the coalition, with other prominent politicians like Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi vying for the presidential ticket.

Despite concerns about the party's recent poor performance, Atiku remains confident that the ADC coalition will garner mass support and potentially challenge the status quo in the upcoming election.
