I’m Not Desperate to Be President – Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has stated that his political ambition is not driven by desperation for power but a vision to create a better Nigeria. Atiku, who recently defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), emphasized his priority to see Nigeria become secure and prosperous.

He plans to build a better Nigeria as president by ensuring the government truly delivers for Nigerians. Atiku highlighted the importance of effective leadership in providing relief to Nigerians facing economic hardship.

He also mentioned that the 2023 presidential race within the ADC would allow for a free and fair contest, with the party fully supporting whoever emerges as the flagbearer. The defection ceremony saw several PDP chieftains officially join the ADC, signaling a new beginning and a fresh journey towards repositioning Nigeria.
