Atiku Abubakar Predicts Tough 2027 Election for APC

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, has dismissed the recent defections from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), predicting a tough battle for the APC in the 2027 general elections. His comments followed the announcement by Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, who defected to the APC along with his entire cabinet and 15 to 16 members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, including Speaker Bathiya Wesley.

Atiku stated that while every politician has the right to choose their political path, these defections are not indicative of genuine public support for the APC. He accused the Tinubu administration of using intimidation and coercion against political opponents and highlighted the ongoing hardships faced by Nigerians, including hunger, poverty, and unemployment.

Atiku urged citizens to resist selling their votes and to prioritize their future and that of their children in the upcoming elections.
