Atiku Abubakar Celebrates Obasanjo's 89th Birthday

Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party, paid tribute to former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the occasion of his 89th birthday. In a goodwill message shared via his official social media handle on Thursday, Atiku described Obasanjo as a leader whose life exemplifies service, courage, and commitment to national unity.

He noted that Obasanjo's legacy remains significant in Nigeria's development. Atiku offered prayers for the elder statesman, asking for continued strength and good health, and expressed his warm congratulations on behalf of his family.

Additionally, he condemned a fake letter circulating that falsely claimed Obasanjo had passed away, asserting that the former president is in good health and will continue to contribute positively to Nigeria. Obasanjo's 89th birthday was marked by a colloquium titled "Burden of Blessing: Leadership Reflecting Global Africa," held in Abeokuta.
