Atiku Abubakar Condoles Nasir El-Rufai in Abuja

On Saturday, Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, paid a condolence visit to Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, at his residence in Abuja. This visit was in response to the reported death of El-Rufai's mother, who passed away on Friday afternoon after battling health challenges that had worsened in recent times.

During Atiku's visit, El-Rufai received several prominent political figures who came to sympathize with him over his loss, including former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi and the former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami. Additionally, Bashir Garba Sufyan, an associate of El-Rufai, disclosed details regarding El-Rufai's activities during his time in detention related to corruption offenses investigated by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

Sufyan noted that El-Rufai remained focused on spiritual and intellectual activities throughout his period of detention until he regained his freedom.
