Atiku Abubakar Challenges APC's AI Manipulation Claims

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar issued a statement in response to allegations from the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding AI manipulation and deepfakes. Atiku, through Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, stated that he does not require fabricated content to demonstrate the failures of the Tinubu administration.

He criticized Dele Alake's statement as a desperate attempt to distract from the APC's record, demanding evidence for the accusations made against him. Atiku highlighted the dire economic conditions in Nigeria, including petrol prices around ₦1,400 per litre and food inflation near 20 percent, attributing these issues to the APC's poor governance.

He also questioned the need for protection of campaign billboards during a rally in Kaduna and raised concerns about the safety of APC supporters traveling long distances for the event. Atiku suggested that the APC's campaign strategy reflects a lack of genuine support, as evidenced by the limited states in which Tinubu is campaigning.
