Atiku Replies Critics, Says He is Not Desperate in His Presidential Ambition

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar responded to critics who accused him of being desperate in his presidential ambition for 2023, stating that he is interested in building a better and prosperous Nigeria. At a ceremony welcoming new defectors to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos, Atiku emphasized the need for urgent action to rescue Nigeria from its current challenges.

He highlighted the importance of good leadership in achieving a better Nigeria and expressed his readiness to work with a coalition to bring about change in the country. Atiku also stressed the importance of a free and fair contest within the ADC to select the presidential flag bearer for 2023.

The event saw the defection of prominent members from other political parties to the ADC, with National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola calling for a new political order to address the country's pressing issues.
