Atiku's Son Resigns from Fintiri's Cabinet Amid Defection

Adamu Atiku, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has resigned from the cabinet of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in Adamawa State. This resignation follows Governor Fintiri's recent defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he officially announced on March 2, 2026, after picking up his APC membership card at Wuro Ngayandi Ward in Madagali Local Government Area.

In his resignation letter, Adamu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and emphasized that his decision does not signify an end to his commitment to public service but rather a new phase in his engagement for the development of Adamawa State.
