Atletico Madrid Agrees €40m Deal for Ademola Lookman as Talks Stall with Fenerbahce, Atalanta

Atletico Madrid has reached a €40 million agreement for the transfer of Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman. Talks with Fenerbahce and Atalanta have hit roadblocks due to payment term disputes.

Atalanta and Fenerbahce failed to agree on bank guarantees, leading Atletico to advance with an improved salary proposal for Lookman. Negotiations between Fenerbahce and Atalanta came to a halt despite Fenerbahce's willingness to invest around €40 million in the 28-year-old forward.

Atletico Madrid, under the management of Diego Simeone, is now in pole position to secure Lookman's signature before the transfer window closes. Lookman had previously expressed interest in moving to Spain during the summer.
