AU and ImpactHER to Host Women Entrepreneurs Conference 2026

The African Union, in partnership with ImpactHER, is set to host the second Global African Women Sustain Conference in Abuja in 2026. This conference will spotlight the critical role of women entrepreneurs in advancing Africa's sustainable economic transformation.

The theme of the event is "Rethink, Reinvent, Regenerate: Women Entrepreneurs as Architects of a Global Africa's Sustainable Future." It is expected to attract around 3,000 participants, including senior government officials, investors, development finance institutions, private sector leaders, policymakers, and women entrepreneurs from across Africa and the global diaspora. Ef Ukala, the founder of ImpactHER, emphasized the urgency of advancing women's economic leadership, stating that Africa's economic future depends on the full participation of women.

The conference aims to catalyze partnerships and mobilize resources necessary to scale women-led businesses across Africa.
