Lagos Fire Rescue Service Urges Safety Measures to Prevent Disasters

The Lagos State Fire Rescue Service (LSFR) highlighted the alarming rate of fire disasters in Lagos, with 133 lives lost and properties worth billions destroyed by 2025. General Margaret Adesey of LSFR urged Lagosians to prioritize safety, citing negligence as a major cause.

She recommended heightened safety awareness and government intervention to prevent such disasters. Adesey emphasized the need for compliance with safety regulations and the enforcement of building codes to mitigate future occurrences.

The LSFR also stressed the importance of citizen engagement and qualified professionals in property development to uphold safety standards.
