Awake Campaign Launches Cervical Cancer Awareness Summit

The Awake Campaign, in partnership with Sebeccly Cancer Care, is set to launch a Cervical Cancer Awareness Summit on February 21, 2026. The campaign focuses on promoting cervical cancer awareness and prevention in Nigeria, aiming to educate millions and provide access to screening and HPV vaccinations, particularly for women in underserved communities.

The initiative includes a documentary film featuring survivor stories and insights from medical experts, serving as an educational tool and a catalyst for conversation about cervical cancer, which remains a significant public health concern in Nigeria. Thousands of women lose their lives due to late detection and limited access to care.

The summit will convene stakeholders from health, policy, advocacy, and the creative sector to foster solution-driven dialogue for implementing change. The campaign will continue its outreach programs and digital engagement to facilitate access to screening and vaccination, emphasizing the mission to protect every Nigerian woman's life from preventable cancer.
