Axxela Appoints New GCEO and CFO Amid Leadership Change

Axxela has announced the appointment of Moshood Olajid as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), succeeding Timothy Ononiwu, who has retired after nearly a decade in top leadership roles, including GCEO and Chairman of the Board. Nzan Ogb commended Ononiwu's significant contributions, stating he played a key role in strengthening Axxela's financial base and driving its expansion strategy.

The board expressed gratitude for Ononiwu's dedication and strategic leadership, which has laid a strong foundation for the company's long-term success. Alongside Olajid's appointment, Yetunde Demuren has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), bringing nearly two decades of experience in financial strategy and project viability assessment.

Olajid is expected to guide Axxela through its next phase of growth, focusing on natural gas advocacy and integrating energy solutions in the region.
