AY Addresses Cardiff Show Chaos and Payment Dispute

Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, publicly addressed the chaos that occurred during his "AY Live: Single and Not Searching" UK tour at the Valegate Retail Park in Cardiff on October 25, 2026. Audience members expressed their frustration on social media after waiting for hours for a show that ultimately did not take place.

Eyewitnesses reported a chaotic scene characterized by delays, confusion, and heated arguments, leading to police involvement. AY clarified in a statement on October 26 that he and other comedians had arrived at the venue but were unable to perform due to a disagreement over outstanding payment commitments with the organizers.

By the time the financial issues were resolved, most of the audience had already left. AY expressed remorse for the situation, acknowledging the failure in organization and communication, and called for the tour's management to provide clear information regarding refunds for ticket holders.

As of the report's publication, the organizers had not issued a statement regarding the incident.
