Ayra Starr's Family Promotes Album Amid Recovery

Nene Aderibigbe, known as Genzmummy on Instagram, was seen in Lagos promoting her daughter Ayra Starr's upcoming album, set for release on August 14. She was accompanied by Ayra's sister and other women in matching outfits, carrying banners to generate excitement for the album.

Ayra Starr is currently recovering from major surgery, which she stated has been more complicated than expected. She has asked her fans, referred to as Mobstars, for patience during her recovery.

Despite her health issues, Ayra has started to make public appearances again, including a performance at the Today show’s Citi Summer Concert Series in New York on August 7, shortly after sharing a photo from her hospital bed. Ayra, 24, gained fame after signing with Mavin Records and releasing her debut EP in 2021, followed by her first studio album, "19 & Dangerous," and her second album, "The Year I Turned 21," released in May 2024.
