Harry Kane Wins Men's Ballon d'Or and Gerd Muller Award

The 70th Ballon d'Or ceremony took place at the London Palladium on October 26, 2026, with football's elite in attendance. Harry Kane, representing Bayern Munich and England, was awarded the men's Ballon d'Or, recognizing him as the best male player in the world.

He also received the Gerd Muller Award for being the top scorer of the season. Alexia Putellas from Barcelona and Spain won the women's Ballon d'Or, solidifying her status in women's football.

The Kopa Trophy for the best young male player was awarded to Lamine Yamal of Barcelona, while Vicky López, also from Barcelona, won the women's equivalent. Luis de la Fuente was named Men's Coach of the Year, and Pere Romeu of Barcelona received the Women's Coach of the Year award.

In the goalkeeper categories, Unai Simón of Athletic Club won the men's award, while Cata Coll of Barcelona won the women's award. Charlyn Corral from Mexico was named Women's Striker of the Year.
