Bandits Abduct Pastor, Parishioners in Kogi; Military Rescues Victims

In Kogi State, bandits attacked a Cherubim and Seraphim church, abducting several individuals, including a pastor, his wife, and parishioners. The incident occurred along the Isanlu Makutu-Idofin road.

The Nigerian military and local vigilantes engaged the bandits in a gunfight, leading to the rescue of some victims. The Kogi State Police Command confirmed the kidnapping, with one person escaping and two others still held captive.

Brigadier General Kasim Umar Sidi reiterated the military's commitment to ensuring the security of lives and property in the state.
