Bandits Attack Kaduna Estate, Abduct Pregnant Woman and Baby
On Monday night at approximately 11:30 PM, bandits invaded an estate in Kaduna, abducting a pregnant woman, her six-month-old baby, and two others. Abdulladir Bello, the husband of the pregnant woman, was in Abuja when he received a call from his wife alerting him to the intrusion.
He attempted to contact the police but was unable to reach them, leading him to call the military, which promptly dispatched personnel to the area. The attackers broke into a neighboring house, abducting a man and his wife along with their baby.
Bello reported that the abductors later demanded a substantial ransom for his wife's release. A resident of the estate, who also faced an attack, expressed renewed fears among the community, recalling previous terror from bandits in another area.
This incident occurred just five days after another attack in PW Babban Saura, where a man was killed, and several others were abducted. Efforts to contact the Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, were unsuccessful.
