Bauchi Commissioner's Terrorism Financing Case Returned to Chief Judge for Reassignment

The Federal High Court in Abuja has returned the case file of Bauchi State Commissioner of Finance, Yakubu Adamu, to the Chief Judge for reassignment. Adamu and his co-defendants were arraigned on charges of terrorism financing and money laundering.

The court denied bail and ordered their remand pending trial at Kuje Correctional Center. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) introduced a new counsel for the prosecution.

The presiding judge, Justice Emeka Nwite, clarified the reassignment order to ensure a fair trial process.
