Bauchi Governor Appoints Elder Brother as New Emir Amid Controversy

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed appointed his elder brother, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, as the new Emir of Duguri, amidst criticism of nepotism. The appointment was made at a ceremony held at the Duguri Emir's palace in the Alkaleri Local Government Area.

State Government representative Aminu Hammayo presented the appointment letter on behalf of the governor. The Bauchi Emir Council was also involved in the appointment process.

The new Emir pledged loyalty to the state government, while the Secretary to the State Government named Jibrin D. Hassan as the new Emir of Bununu.
