Bauchi State Government Approves 100% Salary Increase for Medical Workers

The Bauchi State Executive Council has approved a significant 100% salary increase for medical and healthcare workers, particularly those serving in rural and hard-to-reach areas. The decision, disclosed by Dr.

Sani Dambam of the Commission of Health and Social Welfare, includes special allowances for health workers posted outside local government headquarters. This move is part of efforts to enhance healthcare delivery, boost morale, and improve the quality of life for healthcare workers in the state.

Additionally, the council approved outstanding promotions for over 2,000 healthcare workers and introduced measures like access to car and housing loans. A biometric verification system has also been implemented to ensure transparent and effective service delivery.
