Abia State Governor Approves New Salary Structure for Local Government Health Workers

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has approved the implementation of a new consolidated health salary structure for local government health workers, as part of ongoing civil service reforms. The move, announced by State Commissioner Okei Kanu, includes the functionalization of 52 renovated and equipped primary health centers and the construction of three specialist hospitals.

This initiative aligns with Governor Otti's vision for the health sector. In a similar vein, Adamawa State Governor Fintiri has commenced payments to council workers, while Governor Hope Uzodimma has initiated new salary payments for civil servants in the South East region.
