Bauchi State Boosts IGR to N2 Billion, Targets N3 Billion by 2025

Bauchi State's Ministry of Finance revealed a significant increase in the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from N300 million to N2 billion. The state aims to reach N3 billion by the end of 2025.

Commissioner of Finance, Yakubu Adamu, highlighted the state's efforts to enhance revenue generation through various programs and collaborations with media organizations. The government prioritizes salary payments, debt servicing, and citizen welfare, with the wage bill increasing to N11 billion monthly.

This progress reflects the administration's commitment to creating a conducive business environment and boosting revenue streams for sustainable development.
