Islamiyya Teacher Killed Over Political Poster Dispute

Ustaz Ridwan Rilwanu Dauda, an Islamiyya teacher, was fatally stabbed by suspected political thugs in the Karofin Madaki area of Bauchi Metropolitan on Sunday. The incident occurred after a dispute over a political poster, where Dauda confronted a man about placing a poster on a wall.

Following the argument, the thugs gathered and one of them stabbed Dauda in the chest before fleeing the scene. Residents rushed Dauda to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.

Bukhari Mu Azu Abubakar, a community leader, condemned the violence and called on security agencies to ensure justice for Dauda's family. He also urged politicians to refrain from using properties for campaign materials to prevent future conflicts.

Dauda is remembered as a decent man who supported his family through teaching and menial jobs. The Bauchi State Police Command has not yet confirmed the incident, and efforts to reach the police spokesperson were unsuccessful.
