Halkin E&P's Babatunde Morakinyo Lauded for Community Support

Host communities of Halkin Exploration and Production Limited’s Atala Petroleum Mining Licence (PML) 105, located in Azagbene, Ekeremor Local Government Area, and Ezetu, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, have expressed their appreciation for the company's commitment to community development. They commended Babatunde Morakinyo, the founder, promoter, and Chairman of Halkin E&P, for maintaining strong relationships through various investments in social infrastructure.

Chief Idani Ebibomene, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Azagbene and Ezetu Host Communities Development Trust, highlighted several projects executed by Halkin E&P, including solar streetlights, renovations of community facilities, and educational materials for students. Fawari Tokowei, vice chairman of the HCDT Board of Trustees, praised the ongoing water development project aimed at improving living conditions.

Morakinyo reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the livelihoods of residents in host communities, aligning with the objectives of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021.
