Jamal Musiala Collapses Again During Pre-Season Match

Jamal Musiala, a 23-year-old midfielder for Bayern Munich, collapsed on the pitch during a pre-season friendly match against second-division Heidenheim on Tuesday, just three days after a similar incident in Munich. Musiala fell shortly after being substituted into the match and appeared dazed while receiving medical attention before being assisted off the field.

Bayern Munich's sporting director, Max Eberl, commented on the situation, indicating that Musiala would make a statement soon, saying, “Jamal will speak about this in the near future. We knew about it, and we are aware of the situation.” Previously, on Saturday, Musiala had collapsed during a match against RB Leipzig, requiring medical assistance in high temperatures exceeding 30°C in Bavaria.

Musiala had missed the first six months of the previous season due to a broken ankle sustained at the Club World Cup but returned to play in the latter half of the season and represented Germany at the 2026 World Cup.
