Tochi Okechukwu Urges Young Women to Delay Marriage

Tochi Okechukwu, a former housemate from the reality show BBNaija, has voiced his concerns regarding early marriage for young women. In a post on his Instagram page, he expressed that he has consistently opposed early marriage, arguing that young girls should have the opportunity to explore their identities and develop their potential before assuming the roles of wife and mother.

Tochi highlighted the risks associated with early marriage, stating that ambitions can be stifled under domestic responsibilities, and a woman's identity may become overshadowed by her role as a spouse. He clarified that his stance is not against marriage itself, describing it as a positive institution, but he stressed that the timing of marriage is critical.

Tochi advised young women to complete their education, acquire skills, and achieve financial independence prior to marriage, framing self-sufficiency as an essential foundation for entering into marriage.
