Nigeria-EU Business Forum Scheduled for June 2026

The 10th Nigeria-EU Business Forum will take place on June 25, 2026, in Lagos, bringing together policymakers, investors, development finance institutions, and business leaders from Nigeria and Europe. The forum, endorsed by Gautier Mignot, Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS, aims to foster long-term economic growth and cooperation amidst global economic changes.

Nigeria, as Africa's largest economy, has significant potential across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, and technology services. The European Union is Nigeria's primary trade and investment partner, with a foreign direct investment stock of $38 billion.

The forum will create opportunities for practical partnerships, focusing on investment capabilities, job creation, and infrastructure development. It will also address Nigeria's renewable energy sector, which has attracted interest from investors, and the growing digital economy, emphasizing the importance of technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
