Benin Republic Legend Razak Omotoyossi Laid to Rest As Grieving Wife Breaks Down in Tears, Video

Benin Republic football legend Razak Omotoyossi, aged 39, was laid to rest in Lagos State on August 19, 2025. The former forward had scored 21 goals in 55 appearances for his nation, making him the top scorer.

Omotoyossi's life ended tragically amid personal struggles, including marital issues and the recent loss of his sister. His wife, Nigerian actress Bose Alao, was visibly distraught at the burial, attended by a large number of celebrities and community members.

Alao, who had been married to Omotoyossi since 2007 and shares four children with him, expressed her pain and struggles on social media after his passing. Omotoyossi had also recently played against the Super Eagles in a 2025 Cup of Nations qualifier, showcasing his strength on the field.
