Benue State Assembly Suspends Former Leaders Over Gross Misconduct

The Benue State Assembly has suspended two former principal officers, Saater Tiseer and Michael Audu, for gross misconduct. The decision was reached during a plenary session presided over by Speaker Berger Alfred Emberga.

Additionally, Dorca Faeren Mbatiav was removed from the Benue State House of Assembly Service Commission for alleged gross misconduct. The suspensions were based on findings of an ad hoc committee that investigated the activities of the former leaders.

The Assembly unanimously voted to relieve Mbatiav of her appointment to safeguard the integrity and proper functioning of the commission.
