Benue Assembly Suspends Former Leaders Over Misconduct

The Benue State House of Assembly has suspended two former principal officers, Saater Tiseer and Michael Audu, over alleged gross misconduct. The decision, made during a plenary session in Makurdi, follows a motion moved by Thomas Dugeri, emphasizing the need to discipline members found guilty of misconduct.

The Assembly noted the importance of stability in the house for the state's overall stability and urged the constitution of a special committee to investigate further. Speaker Alfred Emberga oversaw the suspension of the two former leaders to serve as a deterrent to others.
