Benue deputy gov dismisses rumour of replacement in 2027

Benue State Deputy Governor Sam Ode has refuted rumors of being replaced in 2027 by Principal Hyacinth Alia. A group had claimed that Alia was planning to replace Ode in 2027, but Ode dismissed these claims, stating that the rumors were baseless and intended to cause confusion.

Ode emphasized that he deserves respect and equal treatment as a bonafide son of the Idoma nation. He urged political stakeholders in Benue South to focus on development initiatives and avoid distractions and falsehoods.

Ode also warned against attempts to sow discord among political actors in Idoma land. The Deputy Governor clarified that there is no truth to the speculation of Alia replacing a member of the Federal House of Representatives.

He called for respect towards traditional institutions and unity in the region.
