Onjeh urges Assembly to end standoff, screen Alia’s nominees

Comrade Daniel Onjeh, the APC candidate for Benue South Senatorial District, has urged the Benue State House Assembly to set aside political differences and promptly screen and confirm Governor Hyacinth Alia's commissioner nominees. Onjeh emphasized the importance of ending the standoff and recognized the Assembly's oversight role.

He cautioned against creating a political deadlock that could hold governance hostage and damage the state's progress. Onjeh also criticized the Governor for past efforts to undermine the Assembly and warned against using political tactics to gain advantage in local government conflicts.

He urged APC lawmakers to prioritize unity and cooperation, reminding them that governance should come before personal conflicts. Onjeh called on the Assembly to focus on resolving the standoff and allowing peace and cooperation to prevail for the benefit of Benue State.
