Bola Tinubu Orders Withdrawal of Police from VIPs, Announces Recruitment Drive

Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, has ordered the immediate withdrawal of 100,000 police officers assigned to VIPs to focus on core policing duties, including counter-insurgency operations. Tinubu also declared a nationwide security emergency, unveiling measures to recruit 50,000 new officers and support states in establishing their security outfits.

He emphasized the need to equip the police to tackle security challenges effectively. Tinubu's directive aims to strengthen the Nigeria Police Force and enhance security across the country.
