Boko Haram Threatens to Kill 176 Abductees in Kwara

Boko Haram has threatened to kill 176 abductees in Kwara State, issuing a one-week ultimatum for the Nigerian government to meet their demands. The victims, primarily women and children, were kidnapped from Woro in the Kaiama Local Government Area.

Salihu Bio, a traditional ruler, confirmed the situation, revealing that the abductees were allowed to communicate with their families during a Friday prayer session. The captors expressed frustration over the government's lack of action and indicated that if no progress is made within the week, they would resort to drastic measures, including forced marriages and killings.

The group has also begun indoctrinating the victims with religious teachings. Tensions are escalating as families of the abductees feel abandoned, and a video surfaced online showing armed members of Boko Haram claiming responsibility for the attack.

The Kwara State Police Command has not responded to inquiries regarding the situation.
