Peter Okoye Sparks Controversy with Birthday Change

Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P, has triggered fresh controversy by announcing a change to his birthday date via a post on his official social media account.

The announcement, made on a Monday, did not provide an explanation for this unusual decision, leading to mixed reactions from fans who are curious about the reasons behind it. Peter Okoye rose to fame as part of the legendary music duo P-Square alongside his twin brother, Paul Okoye.

The duo dominated the African music scene throughout the 2000s and early 2010s with numerous hit songs. However, their relationship soured around 2015 due to management disputes involving their elder brother, Jude Okoye, which led to a split in 2017.

Peter later launched a solo career under the name Mr. P.

Despite a reconciliation in November 2021, tensions reportedly resurfaced later due to financial transparency issues regarding royalties and management of their music catalog, leading to renewed public disagreements and legal actions within the Okoye family.
