BOI Plans N1.35 Trillion Loan Disbursement by 2027

Dr. Olasupo Olusi, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Industry (BOI), announced that the bank is targeting an annual loan disbursement of N1.35 trillion to manufacturers and operators in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by 2027. He stated that BOI is exploring various capital sources to provide long-term loans with a tenure of about 10 years.
During the “MD/CEO BOI Meeting with Media Partners,” Olusi revealed that BOI disbursed N645 billion in 2025, the highest in its history, marking a 26 percent increase from N510 billion in 2024. The bank's 2025-2027 corporate strategy is executed in three phases: 2025 as the foundation year, 2026 for execution and scale, and 2027 for consolidation.
BOI accounted for 6.5 percent of agricultural loans and 25 percent of manufacturing GDP. The bank also raised nearly €2 billion from international banks and secured a €75 million facility from the African Export and Import Bank for the Pharmaceutical Value Chain in Nigeria.
