Boko Haram Kills 5 Soldiers and 15 Villagers in Borno State; Nigerian Troops Neutralize Bandits in Kwara

Boko Haram terrorists killed five soldiers and 15 villagers in an attack on Wajirko community along the Biu-Damboa road in Borno State. The attack occurred during a construction work engagement, with casualties including members of the civilian joint task force.

The Biu Forum expressed shock and sadness over the incident, with prayers and condolences extended to the victims' families. In a separate operation, Nigerian troops neutralized bandits in Kwara State, dismantling criminal networks and destroying hideouts.

The Nigerian Army spokesperson, Capt. Maureen Ogbuka, highlighted the successful military operations in degrading bandit activities.

The military also raised concerns about the role of local communities in aiding bandits, emphasizing the importance of intelligence gathering.
