Boko Haram Ambush Kills Four Nigerian Soldiers in Borno State

Boko Haram insurgents ambushed Nigerian soldiers near Auno, Borno State, resulting in the death of four soldiers. The attack took place on Thursday night along the Maiduguri-Damaturu road.

The soldiers were ambushed while on reinforcement duty for their colleagues who were under attack. The soldiers encountered a maximum ambush controlled by the terrorists, leading to casualties.

One of the victims, Saidu, was described as a jovial and brave soldier who tried to rescue his fellow soldiers during the attack. Efforts to confirm the incident from the Nigerian Army spokesperson, Lt.

Col. Sanni Uba, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.

Auno, located 24 km from Maiduguri, faces a highly volatile security situation due to frequent attacks by Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents.
