Borteyman Sport Complex to Host Africa Armwrestling Championship

The Borteyman Sport Complex has been confirmed as the venue for the Africa Armwrestling Championship, scheduled to take place in Accra on May 1-2, 2026. The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has made a decision following a work visit to assess the facilities, ensuring they meet the requirements for Africa's fiercest armwrestling spectacle.

The LOC conducted a comprehensive assessment of the competitive arena and warm-up areas to guarantee a seamless championship experience. This championship is significant as it will also serve as a qualifier for the 2027 African Games, igniting ongoing preparations for future sporting events in the region.
