Bosnia Beats Qatar 3-1 to Reach World Cup Knockouts

Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved a historic milestone by reaching the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time after defeating Qatar 3-1 in their final Group B match on Wednesday. The team finished with four points in the group.

The match saw 18-year-old Kerim Alajbeg score an own goal for Qatar, while veteran Hassan Al Haydo pulled one back for Qatar just before halftime. Edin Dzeko, playing in his 150th match, opened the scoring with a spectacular goal from outside the area, and Ermin Mahmic extended the lead in the 80th minute.

Qatar exited the tournament with only one point, having failed to score in their previous World Cup appearance four years ago. The match highlighted Bosnia's dominance, with Dzeko's performance being particularly notable as he played a crucial role in the team's success.
