BPE to List 2 DisCos, 1 GenCo on Nigerian Exchange for Sector Growth

The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) announced plans to list two Distribution Companies (DisCos) and one Generation Company (GenCo) on the Nigerian Stock Exchange to enhance private sector involvement in the power sector. This move aims to attract investments, improve efficiency, and boost service delivery in the sector.

The DisCos to be listed include those in Abuja, Benin, Eko, Enugu, Ibadan, Ikeja, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Port Harcourt, and Yola. The BPE emphasized the importance of stabilizing operations and enhancing transparency through the listing process, providing Nigerians with investment opportunities in the power sector.
